Teaching in Second Life – Reflections of a language teacher

I have exported the website, which would allow me to reinstall it as it was … just in case I regret deleting it ◡̈.

I have hesitated and delayed deleting the website a couple of times because it’s a bit of ‘virtual reality language teaching history’. But I also realised how many insights and practices we used ‘back then’ are still relevant today.

There is, of course, also nostalgia. I spent considerable time, effort, and thinking into this work, and have made real friends and memories, and in fact, even a career in this virtual world of Second Life.

So, for now, I’ve taken this big step. When I’m in decluttering mood again (which I am every now and then, and more frequently now it seems), I might get rid of this page and just keep the files ◡̈

I created a PDF file of the complete website. (Unfortunately it wasn’t possible to save the blog comments.) Most of the hyperlinks in the PDF document won’t work any longer. I have also saved the lesson plans separately. If anyone who knows me from SL times and has collaborated with me is interested in the archive, I can send you the file.
